Things To Do

Some of the primary activities for guests that frequent Krull’s Deer Path Resort are fishing and boating. Lake Buckatabon covers more than 870 acres and is open to all kinds of water craft. Cruise the waters in your complimentary 14-footer or borrow from our fleet of paddle boats.

Upper Buckatabon itself covers 493 acres in scenic Vilas County and is home to a variety of game fish, including musky, large and smallmouth bass, walleye, northern pike and panfish. This lake is moderately clear and enjoyable for swimming, wading and water games.

From your cabin, you will also have access to local hiking and biking paths, as well as snowmobiling and ATV trails. The nearby town of Eagle River hosts the annual World Championship Snowmobile Derby, and is also home to local restaurants and shops.

If you love cranberries and scenic drives, the Wisconsin Northwoods should be your destination in the fall. While your here, pay the Burnt Bridge Tavern (home of the Wild Animal Floor Show) a visit for lunch or dinner. It’s a local favorite for great food, strong drinks and rustic charm.
