About us

It has been a dream of ours to sometime own a resort. We spent many Summer vacations fishing in Canada with our kids that offered us great memories. In May of 2017 we started our search in Northern Wisconsin as our last child was finishing college. We were still within a couple hours of family in the Bonduel area where we spent our entire lives. Deer Path Resort had the acreage we were looking for along with a peaceful setting on a beautiful lake. We felt this was the right place the moment we walked the property.

Jay and I have been married since 1985, high school sweethearts and blessed with three children, Jared, Ben and Jenifer. Added to our family is our wonderful daughter-in-law’s Kelsie and Megan and we are expecting our first grandchild in December. We have been very active in our community, Jay serving as school board chairman and I serving as our town clerk. Jay and I also volunteered as 4-H general leaders and coaching sport teams that brought us great satisfaction. Jay is continuing his full-time employment with Central Star Cooperative – Select Sires as a team leader and I am holding down the resort along with his help. My past job experience has been working as an economical specialist with Shawano County, education support and accounting. We are used to working hard as we also ran a successful dairy farm.

Our hobbies include hunting, fishing, horseback riding and snowmobiling. Our love of animals shows as we are breeders of English Springer Spaniels (Slab City Springers) and own a team of horses. We continue to enjoy making maple syrup on our property with the kids near Bonduel.

We are enjoying resort life, meeting the past guests, learning their memories, and showing new guests this beautiful resort. We are outdoor enthusiasts enjoying the many opportunities of the Northwoods. All seasons are beautiful here. Winter snowmobiling, skiing, ice fishing and snowshoeing to welcoming the Spring thaw. Don’t forget about all the Summer activities of fishing, boating, biking and day trips to water falls of upper Michigan. The beauty of the Fall colors is awesome for road trips, hunting, and riding the many ATV/UTV trails.

We recently selected our moto as “your destination for relaxation” as we would love our guests to unplug from normality, feel completely relaxed, and enjoy the beauty of this resort. It will be our pleasure spending time with you and ensuring that you are completely satisfied with your stay at Krull’s Deer Path Resort in Conover, Wisconsin.
